Web legend inspires Welsh version

A visit to the National Eisteddfod has inspired an IT specialist to harness an internet craze to boost the Welsh economy.

Craig Rees, 30, and his fiancée Rachel looked at the map of the festival's maes and were astounded by the variety of Welsh companies and agencies brought together in one space.   Then he heard of the Million Dollar Homepage - a website featuring advertisements by hundreds of companies which have bought space on the screen for one dollar a pixel.   This inspired him to create a Welsh version, MillionPixelWales.com.

Just as the Eisteddfod illustrates the diversity of Welsh life, he hopes visitors around the world will be able to come to a single website containing logos and links to Wales' most dynamic businesses and organisations.
